Vital to our daily lives, NI Water makes fresh and clean drinking water come out of your tap and takes away and treats wastewater from the sewage system.

As the sole provider of clean water and wastewater services in Northern Ireland, NI Water:

• Supplies over 840,000 houses and businesses across NI with 560 million litres of clean water each day.
• Transfers and treats 340 million litres of wastewater from the sewage system each day.
• Operates and manages 23 reservoirs, 24 water treatment facilities, and 1,270 pumping stations.

Consistently ranking in Northern Ireland’s top ten largest employers, it supplies clean water and processes wastewater for approximately 1.8 million people across the country. Without their management of our essential utilities, our society and economy would be unable to function.
