Sector Briefing

The word 'entrepreneur' is often used when describing an individual that starts and runs their own business. Many business owners grow and scale their companies, whilst others choose to keep their business small.

Today, lots of customers are increasingly seeking to 'shop local' and support independently-owned companies, and there has been a boost in the number of business start-ups in recent years, as well as individuals who choose to have their own part-time business or 'side hustle' in addition to their full time job.

Business support services help a business run more effectively and efficiently. No matter what size a business is or how long it has been operating, business support services such as marketing, accountancy, human resources, and recruitment, are often key for sustaining, developing, and growing a business.
