COVID Update: 4C UR Future LIVE Events Postponed

20 Apr 2020

The outbreak of COVID-19 around the world is an unprecedented, complex, and fast-moving situation filled with uncertainties. As we continue to monitor ongoing events, one thing is clear, we all have a responsibility to play our part in adhering to government guidelines. Positive individual actions can make a huge collective impact on slowing the progression of this outbreak.

Restrictions that have been introduced by Government in an attempt to combat and slow the spread of Coronavirus make planning and holding our events impossible for the foreseeable future. Therefore, it is with regret that the 4C UR Future LIVE at-scale pilot events for June 2020 must be postponed.

The priority for 4C UR Future and our member companies is the health and wellbeing of employees, customers, and suppliers; our volunteers, young people who would normally be attending our events, and the wider community.

Social distancing and the ‘Stay At Home’ campaign represents the most remarkable act of global solidarity we are likely to witness in our lifetime – and it is important that we play our part.

As we come through this situation, the work we are doing will be more important than ever. A potential move to close schools and colleges will exacerbate the impact on our young people, and their futures. It will be critical that young people are supported in learning about the world of work and receive enhanced careers guidance and inspiration when we return to “normal”.

We will maintain communications with our members and volunteers throughout this time, and look forward to the day when we can get back to achieving our mission and ambitious plans to support young people in their education and career choices, positively impacting their futures.
